Need to rotate some of the images in your batch?
If you ever take any portrait photos using your digital camera, it can be frustrating to create a web gallery using most thumbnail software that is not aware of the EXIF orientation data that is stored in the files from modern digital cameras.
MD2 Thumbnailer is aware of this EXIF data and will automatically rotate your images during processing if the orientation of the camera has been recorded.
If you do not have a digital camera with an orientation sensor, or you have any other folders of images with mixed orientation, MD2 Thumbnailer can still be instructed to rotate particular images using a small file you can create - rotate.txt
By creating a text file named rotate.txt in the source folder, you can specify which images MD2 Thumbnailer should rotate either left, or right by 90 degrees. The format of this file is as follows:

Each line should be <filename><tab><how to rotate>.
Notice that the filename is separated from the rotation type by a TAB and not any number of spaces.
Save this file as rotate.txt in the source folder and then process the folder as normal using MD2 Thumbnailer. You will see that the photos specified in the text file have been rotated accordingly |
