sYnerGi news

Welcome to the sYnerGi SoundFonts web site.

04/08/06 - It's been over 6 years since we released our first high quality SoundFont, and proudly, sYnerGi still remains a market leader. We wish to thank all our customers for using our products.

sYnerGi GS 1.1 Update Patch now available - Click here to download (9.3Mb)

07/02/03 - This latest update adds so much to the sYnerGi GS package. You now get a DLS-2 version of sYnerGi GS in addition to a 24MB version of the popular sYnerGi 200 soundfont. Great if you want to save that extra bit of memory. We have also created a few little MIDI utilities to emulate extra 'insertion effects' such as Guitar Amp Simulator on the SoundBlaster Audigy hardware, and a Virtual Piano that is great for finding that all important chord progression ;) There's even 3 more drum kits in this version of sYnerGi GS. That brings the total to 17. All in all, over 150Mb of wavetables for $49.99!

20/01/03 - sYnerGi GS version 1.0 has been released. This improves upon the already outstanding sYnerGi 100/200 SoundFonts by including more realistic patches in a larger wavetable. That means real acoustic pianos, lush marcato strings, powerful stereo drums and much much more. Almost every sound has been updated in one way or another over sYnerGi 200, making this a truely revolutionary SoundFont. sYnerGi 200 users can upgrade for a reduced price! Click here for details

Thats right. We are very excited that we have produced such an amazing GM/GS soundfont. Probably the best that there is to date. The well known phrase 'What have I created?' springs to mind, but when tested against our library of 1000's of standard GM/GS and XG midi files, sYnerGi GS sounded simply amazing!

Great attention was paid not just to the timbre of each preset, but also to the resulting balance between the presets within the bank. This was not easy and took many months of intense reworking of the banks' dynamics to the gain the most compatible sound possible.

In addition, we used an entirely new approach to sample optimisation and by utilizing 32bit pre-processing techniques, this soundfont is the best GM/GS sound you will find on the Audigy or SBLive! Over the years, we've tried many different commercial soundfonts including those of the propaganda pushing market leaders. We used this experience to create the best overall sound ever, for you and your soundfont synth.
