- MP3/OGG Recordings taken from MIDI files played
back with the sYnerGi GS SoundFont
Thank you for your interest in sYnerGi GS. These music demos aim to
demonstrate just some of the various styles which the SoundFont can
faithfully produce.
To listen to MP3/OGG files, you will need MP3/OGG player software. We think its best to use WinAMP, which is freely available for download from http://www.winamp.com/.
Over time we will be
replacing all the MP3 demos with OGG Vorbis demos. This is a new music
file format that offers superior audio quailty with a very small
filesize, much better than MP3. Also, the OGG Vorbis audio format is
totally free and open source! For a list of Vorbis players, please click here.
All MP3/OGG files were encoded with VBR to provide you with the best
possible audio quality without having to increase the average bitrate.
This reduces the size of the file you have to download. Recordings were
taken digitally from the MIDI output of the SBAudigy! without any
external software effects processing.

What people are
saying about sYnerGi SoundFonts ...
" I'm not a music
maker, but I'm a demanding listener. When I tested sYnerGi 200 with some
games: Final Fantasy series, etc, I have to say that this is the best
SoundFont I have ever listened to. Also, try some XG midi files you will
be amazed " - Vitor Ferreira
"
Very good samples, and nice selection of sounds, very well done, good
job! " - Michael Huang
" I am highly
impressed. The quality of the instruments is superb. " - Tirone Nel
(MIDI enthusiast/IT Administrator)
"
Excellent! sYnerGi 200 surpasses the tens of banks that I have evaluated
throughout the years. It even beats all those freeware banks of 32, 64,
and 128Mb, whose quality does not justify the great space that they
occupy. sYnerGi 200 occupies a single 32Mb block and its quality is
magnified by a price that is reasonable. " - Leopoldo Jesus Feo
